Scope of the authorization of established or visiting architects and landscape architects is the same.
The architect shall be authorized for (Law of Slovak National Council No. 138/1992 Coll. as amended, § 4)
- a) performance of preparatory pre-project activities, in particular preparation of construction programs for public works, investment programs, architectural and urban development studies, land use planning surveys and analyses,
- b) performance of comprehensive project activities, in particular preparation of architectural designs and documentation for siting of constructions and their changes, project documentation of constructions and their changes, including their interiors and surroundings, as well as building reconstructions and improvements and building monument restoration,
- c) elaboration of land use planning materials and land use planning documentation,
- d) performance of project and construction management, in particular project control and co-ordination of partial projects prepared by engineers, land planners and other experts and exercise of author supervision over the implemented projects according to the approved project documentation over the construction development and performance of construction supervision,
- e) graphic rendering and modelling of architectural works, including the preparation of technical documentation and specifications,
- f) provision of related technical services, in particular the provision of architectural counselling to investors and estate owners, representation of investor during the preparation and carrying out of constructions,
- g) making of expert opinions, estimations and references.
The authorization is proved by the certificate and the stamp, both certified by Slovak Chamber of Architects.
Landscape architect shall be authorized for (Law of Slovak National Council No. 138/1992 Coll. as amended, § 4a)
- a) performance of preparatory pre-project activities, in particular preparation of land use planning programs, land use planning surveys and analyses, elaboration of architectural studies and urban studies and for elaboration of environmental ecological plans,
- b) cooperation on elaboration of land use planning materials within the landscaping and residential greenery in the commune;
- c) performance of comprehensive project activities, in particular preparation of designs and documentation for garden designs and landscape architecture and project documentation of regeneration and changes on monuments of garden art in the monumental area and its interference guard band and reconstruction designs of historic parks, gardens, special area of gardens and public areas;
- d) designs of building incorporation into the environment with the aim to minimize the negative impacts of buildings on urban environment and designs of settlement and the country image;
- e) execution of professional author supervision over the realization of garden and a landscape architecture works according to the land use planning decision and agreed project documentation;
- f) provision of related services, particularly performance of professional consulting for investor during the preparation and realization of garden and landscape architecture works;
- g) graphical elaboration and modelling of works of garden and landscape architecture including the elaboration of specifications and technical documentation;
- h) elaboration of expert opinions, estimations and advisory opinions concerning the works of garden and landscape architecture.
