Managing board

Status: The Managing Board is the highest executive body of the Slovak Chamber of Architects with a general authority. The Managing Board holds meetings once in three months as a rule; they are summoned by the President of the Chamber. The Managing Board has 11 members: the President of the Chamber, its Vice-President and the members of the Managing Board.

 

TasksManaging Board decides on all matters which do not fall within the competence of the General Assembly, the Commission for Authorization or other commission established by them in accordance with this Law, the statute of the Chamber or other internal regulations with following main tasks:

  1. a) prepares and convenes the General Assembly,
    b) submits the proposals of the internal rules and orders to the General Assembly as well as the draft budget which are approved by the General Assembly,
    c) approves the internal rules and orders which are not approved by the General Assembly, mainly authorization order, examination order, competition order, registry order of the Chamber,
    d) manages the property of the Chamber and disposes it, draws up the financial statements and determines the compensation for the exercise in favour of the Chamber,
    e) accepts and excludes the voluntary members of the Chamber, keeps the membership evidence and acts in the membership issues,
    f) organizationally provides the election of the bodies of the Chamber,
    g) designates and removes the regional representatives,
    h) decides on appeal against decisions of the Authorization Committee and Disciplinary Commission,
    i)  ensures the foreign relations, particularly in relation to the European Commission, Architects´ Council of Europe and regulatory authorities of other states,
    j)  ensures the relations with the state bodies of the Slovak republic, partner chambers, citizens and other legal persons,
    k) verifies the competition materials of the design competition organizers and public competitions,
    l)  gives an opinion on the notification of new evidence of professional qualification,
    m) organizes the activity of the Chamber, its Office, committees and working groups,
    n)  determines the payment for the authorization examination, for repeated examination and for enrolment in the list/register and other charges for acts of the Chamber,
    o)  proposes the members of Examination Commission to the competent minister,
    p)  organizes the life-long learning,
    q)  monitors the evidence of the professional indemnity insurance and acts in the issues concerning the insurance,
    r)  keeps the register of architectural works of the members of the Chamber,
    s)  determines the content of the authorization examination with the competent ministry.
